So the winter is on its way and here you are wondering about what you are going to do with all of the extra time and snow you have. Whatever your plans, let me tell you that they may well be easily foiled by the chance of you ending up getting a cold or something worse. One of the best ways to ensure that something like this doesn’t happen is to go out and get yourself a slant fin humidifier. the thing about humidifiers is that unlike heaters they aren’t responsible for keeping your home or your room warm. This means that you won’t necessarily have to make the whole place as airtight as possible which is nothing short of great news. What is also commonly observed with many people who catch colds is that it is not the weather per se that end up giving them a cold but the fact that they breathe in stale air. It is for times like these that an air purifier is the absolute requirement.
One of the problems that many people have faced with the older generation of humidifiers is that they would produce mist that contained a lot of what is now refereed to as white dust. This was mainly the mineral deposit that cold be found in water from all sources. Basically this is what you would call mineral salts that are present in the water. One of the ways to minimize this problem that people used to adopt was to add water softener to the tank which would take care of a lot of this, but the white residue still came through. With the advent of the Slant Fin humidifier though, the special mineral filter pads that they use makes it pretty easy to get rid of the white dust that has been the bane of all asthmatics for so long.
